2.3 Homelife Vs. Careerlife

Welcome back, my friends! Not too much has changed. Myrtle is *recovering* from her pregnancy by working, working, and, when at home, skilling. All of her whims are always work and ambition related. She sure is a powerhouse!

Art, on the other hand, is very fond of family life, and is constantly taking care of Olive now that Aunt Laurel is out of the house.

And speaking of Olive, she's now grown into a toddler––PSA, there are NO blond genes in this family, so I think what is happening is that she has Myrtle's CC brown hair that she'll grow into as a teenager. Either way, I'll fix it later. Tons of kids are born blond and progress to darker hair, anyway.

Since Art has his soulmate aspiration, I figured I should give them a date. Except it's late at night after Myrtle came home from work, and there really isn't the time. Instead, they get a couch date! We do what we can, here.

Either way, they still have a stellar date that ends in the bedroom. Another baby in the works, perhaps?

Art also gets out of bed that night when Olive wakes up with a nightmare, and reads her to sleep. So cute!

Olive is also super hyperactive, running around constantly at all hours. But, she's cute! Love toddlers!…just wish there were more hair options coming soon.

Also Myrtle is pregnant with baby number two! Yay! A boy, maybe? PLEASE?

Also, now that they aren't his, Salim is such a family sim. He's constantly poking around checking on Olive. It's so cute! He was around every once in a while in the middle of the night taking care of her when she was a baby, too. Salmi, why couldn't you be this into family when you were alive?

I also thought we could pop over to Camellia and Kayaan's to see how the spares are doing! Kayaan is just as kid-like as ever.

Laurel shows up, too, and Myrtle is not looking very amused. Missing your non-pregnant days?

Regardless, it is nice to have all the girls in one place again! I feel bad that Myrtle doesn't see more of Camellia, considering how close they were as kids and teens.

Laurel: I've actually had twin boys, too, recently. Their names are Frankie and Zechariah.

Myrtle: Why are all of the boys born outside of heir line? And why are they all twins?

Camellia: That would be so strange if your next baby turned out to be twins, Myrtle.

Myrtle: No, thank you.

I took this picture just to point out how similar Camellia and Laurel look.

Here are Camellia's boys, all grown up into children. On the left is Beau, and the right is Clayton.

They spend a lot of time with their father, reading, and it's pretty cute. Kayaan's a good dad.

And Camellia, well, she does her best.

Okay, last Camellia fam spam, and back to the main legacy house.

Back at the legacy house, Myrtle is very pregnant, very large, and very nonplussed about it.

However, she's still working away to get her maxed handiness skill, so she remains the one doing all the handiwork around the house.

The next morning as Art is finishing up a painting, Myrtle looks a little funny.

Art: What's wrong?

Myrtle: I need to go to work.

Art: So, go to work? Or take a day off?

Myrtle: No, the problem is that I'm going into labor.

She rushes upstairs and gives birth to another baby girl named Apple. Immediately, Myrtle puts the baby down and heads out to work, only fifteen minutes late. That's dedication.

That leaves Olive to meet her new sibling, and she is NOT pleased about it. With her "unwanted sibling" moodlet, this baby with the Angelic toddler trait has decided that she doesn't want to be very angelic today.

However, all is well later that evening when Myrtle comes home from work and offers Olive some love.

Also, these two are still adorable.

And decide that it's time to work on the last baby of the family!

Meanwhile, Juniper comes out to take care of the new baby and clean up around the house. Thanks Juniper! You're the best!

Art here is still basking in the romantic glow of last night, as you can see in his painting, when Myrtle has some news for him.

Myrtle: I'm pregnant!

Art: ……………

I don't really know what's going on with his face and hands. I think Art is just confused here, because he wound up being very excited about the new baby.

Later that day, Apple grows into a cute toddler! I don't really remember what her trait is though, sorry…

Now that they're both toddlers, Olive doesn't seem to mind Apple so much. They play together all the time.

A cake in the oven? We all know what that means! Time is really flying by with these girls.

This looks like it's going to be an incredibly awkward transition.

Yep. Yeah. This is incredibly awkward. Sorry Olive!

Myrtle: Oh, hush. I'm going into labor. I'm allowed to do awkward things.

And it's–––––another girl. Sigh. So. Many. Girls. Anyways, this is the last baby of the generation for Myrtle. Her name is Hazel.

Olive gets an updated bedroom, and spends a lot of her free time working on her creative aspiration.

However, Olive is also very social, and goes to visit family very frequently! She went over to Camellia's to visit Beau and Clayton, and ran into Aunt Laurel!

The kids also start their own club for the kid members of the Arbors, and the three of them head over to the park to get some play time in. So cute. Olive is definitely on her way to being best friends with her cousin, Beau.

Beau doesn't quite know what to do with his baby cousins, but he still tries!

And we have two toddlers in the house again! We have Hazel now with the same hair color as Olive. Apple seems interested, but hesitant, about Hazel.

She's honestly a pretty good kid, though. Keeps to herself mostly. You wouldn't know it, but she actually has the Wild trait.

Seriously, Myrtle? Stop impaling your toddlers when they age up!

Ohhh, Apple looks sneaky as hell. I like it.

Anyways, I thought it would be a good time to formally introduce the girls. Olive has the outgoing trait, which should surprise no one.

The faces this girl makes are killing me. She's going to be a fun sim. As a child, she received the Kleptomaniac trait, which seems incredibly fitting. She also received the Happy Toddler trait!

Meanwhile, Hazel's wild trait finally kicks in a bit! Toddlers are so cute!

Apple gets to join the Adolescent Arbors club––I have no idea what I actually named it. Basically, they eat food and play.

Yassssss, Clayton and Beau! Break those gender stereotype norms!

I also thought it was about time I sent these two on another date, so here they are once again at Chez Llama!

Myrtle: You know, I think we have a pretty good family going right now.

Art: You're right. Our kids are growing up so well. Although Apple keeps stealing books and toys from school.

Sidenote, I love that the things Apple steals most are books. At least they're educational, right?

Myrtle: You've actually helped me to enjoy having kids. I never thought I was actually going to make a good mom.

Art: You're a great mom, Myrtle. You've been around so much more recently.

Myrtle: I'm almost to the top of my career. Once I get there, I intend to be around a lot more for our girls' childhoods.

GUYS! THIS IS AWKWARD!

Yeah, so they retreated over to the busboy station and started massaging each other. At least they're still crazy in love, I guess!

Anyways, we'll end here with this really awkward moment. Thanks for reading!
