2.2 Babies, Glitches, and Spontaneity

Welcome back! First of all, we redecorated! So I'll let you have a look around the new legacy house before we get started.

Anyways, I'm a big fan of the new house! However, I'm still not a big fan of TS4 roofing system. Automatic roofs, come back to us!

And here is also the back garden, which has pretty much been steadily under Laurel's control since Juniper died.

Myrtle has spent most of her pregnancy going to and form work, and upgrading her rocket in the spare time in her early mornings and late evenings.

Myrtle: Okay, I think I need to stop now.

What's up, Myrtle?

Myrtle: I think I'm having a baby. But I'm also just really tired and would rather nap.

Unfortunately for Myrtle, I don't let her nap, and she has to go give birth to our first potential heir!

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you another baby girl, Olive Arbor. This generation of Arbors is going to be named after food bearing trees. I hope we get some boys in this mix at some point, too, lest we have another generation of all girls.

Laurel has turned out to be a great help with Olive, especially since Myrtle literally gave birth and ran out the door to go to work.

In fact, she's been putting in so much work at the Arbor residence recently between babysitting and plant sitting, that I thought I would reward her––with Giancarlo! Basically I think Giancarlo deserves to be in the family. He's so nice.

I'm not really sure how these two are working out, though. They seem alright, but I don't know if either of them is sold on the other yet.

Soon enough, it's actually Camellia's adult birthday. Crazy how old the girls are getting!

It's Art and Laurel's first time seeing Camellia and Kayaan's house, and it's apparent that they're pretty excited.

We also get to meet Camellia and Kayaan's twin boys! At least there are boys somewhere in this legacy. This grumpy little one here is Clayton.

And this is Beau. They are completely identical. I'm seriously not sure that they have any differing features yet, but I think most of the toddler's facial structures might be the same in this game.

Because I'm lazy, we used Camellia's birthday party for Laurel's young adult birthday, as well! I'm calling it resourceful.

She looks exactly the same.

Giancarlo pops by. I can't tell if that is a look of skepticism or interest on Laurel's behalf, but Giancarlo definitely looks intrigued. He was actually already flirty when he came over.

These two are still adorable with their cute little family, wow!

And here is where the nightmarish glitch began. So Camellia aged up into an adult on her own, as the party stayed very late. However, apparently she was still queued to blow out the candles…

And promptly turned into an elder.

Camellia: HELP.

Yes, Art, I am as shocked and confused as you.

I wound up cheating and going into CAS to fix it. No way am I letting a glitch ruin my legacy timeline! So here she is as an adult. You can actually really see that she's aged. I guess going from YA to elder to adult in one night takes a lot out of you. Regardless, all is well and not glitchy.

Giancarlo winds up coming over the next day––still flirty––and takes Laurel into the ONLY unfinished room in the house to chat her up. Giancarlo, why have you suddenly gotten creepy? I thought you were the good guy.

Apparently Laurel's feeling the creeper vibe, though, and shocks all of us when she kisses him.

Giancarlo's totally feeling it, though.

That's when we get the queue that it's the day of the romance festival! So, naturally, we move the date to the festival grounds. Also, note Camellia joining in on the fun.

Kayaan's there, too, but I'm not sure he looks very amused. Maybe it's because there's someone else wearing the same shirt as him every time he goes out. Poor Kayaan.

Okay, guys, calm yourselves.

PS apparently I started failing at plumbobs again. I AM THE WORST.

Giancarlo: Wow, imagine getting married here.

Laurel: Yeah, that would be…crazy.

Laurel: Listen, I need your advice…

His face looks so skeptical already.

Welp…I mean, it's not entirely negative.

Camellia: Why are you staring at me like that?

Laurel: It's just…How did you know when you were dating Kayaan that he was the right one?

Camellia: Honestly, it hit me the moment we started dating. We had been friends since we were children, and once I started thinking of him differently, I knew we couldn't go back, and I couldn't look at another man the same way.

Feeling encouraged by Camellia, Laurel went up to Giancarlo.

Laurel: Look, Giancarlo. I know we haven't been dating a very long time, and I know the love guru doesn't think we have much of a chance…

Giancarlo: Uh…do I like the way this is going?

Laurel: But something about us just feels right. I grew up admiring you being heroic and gentlemanly, and I don't think anyone else will ever be as good as you. You've set the standard. And, well, I'm in love with you. Will you marry me?

Giancarlo: Of course I will, Laurel! Although we need to work on your romantic gestures because I thought you were breaking up with me.

Giancarlo: So, I have another crazy idea…

And you can imagine the rest. It's such a Laurel thing to get married in her athletic wear. Oh, Laurel.

And of course this guy glitches into the wedding post, therefore ruining the happy couple's first official picture of their marriage. *Sigh.*

And so Laurel moves into the Nava residence, which is actually a pretty nice house, with Giancarlo and his sister. Bye Laurel! Hope to see you around! I'm sorry you were ignored so much more than your sisters.
